41 Upholstery started as a no-name, small upholstery business that began in December of 2022.
After spending 18 years in law enforcement, our lives as a family took a dramatic turn.
In 2020, the world as we knew it was changed and would never be the same.
In the following 2 yrs, many trials came our way as a family.
After nearly losing our family, and after losing an 18-year career, the Lord opened a door.
An opportunity came along to learn the trade of upholstery.
Not knowing at the time what was in store, it was a large leap of faith into the unknown.
We didn't know at the time that the trials had only begun.
Many long hours followed trying to make ends meet, trying to learn the trade, trying to learn the business,
not knowing all along what our purpose would be.
In Dec 2022, we decided to take off on our own as a small business.
Operating by word of mouth only, the Lord continued to open doors and provide work and meet our family's needs.
We were beginning to see our purpose and our calling as a family and as a business.
We wanted this business to become more than just a way of meeting financial needs and providing a service to our community.
We wanted this to be a message(beacon) of hope and encouragement.
The name "41 Upholstery" was derived around the vision and purpose of the business.
The Bible contains many references to the number 40.
The number 41 speaks to the lost about those 40 days, which were judgment and death to those in unbelief. After 40 days of rain,
that 41st day saw no soul outside Noah's ark left alive.
For 40 years Israel wandered in the wilderness - by the 41st year, every unbelieving soul had perished in the wilderness.
Belief and trust in Christ, coming to Him, is the only way to escape the wrath to come.
It is also a number that signifies trials and testing. That 41st day signifies the end of those trials and the beginning of a new day.
Yes, it rains on every man - but there's a day coming, when the trial is done and it's time to gather strength.
We want to give the message to God's people that they can trust God to be faithful, and to hold on until day 41.
Our family, like many others, was hit with storm after storm. We often felt like there was nothing we could do.
But by faith and trying to honor God with our lives, we saw God step in many times,
and no matter how hard the trial, the day would always come when the rain stopped and the clouds gave way to the sun.
The day is coming, either on this side or the other.
Keep it together, trust God, and honor Him with your life. He is faithful.
